Workplace wellness: where should your organisation start?

Thinking about a wellness programme for your team? A simple, people-first process helps you choose initiatives that fit your workforce.

Employee well-being matters to organisations building positive workplace cultures and sustainable performance. But with so many possible initiatives, it can be hard to know where to begin. The answer is to start with your people.

1. Understand your workforce

What does a typical working day look like for your staff? Are they desk-based, on their feet, on the road or working shifts? A short survey or a few conversations can reveal what your team actually wants support with.

2. Choose clear priorities

Rather than trying to do everything at once, pick two or three focus areas — for example physical activity and fatigue, healthy eating, or mental resilience.

3. Pick practical initiatives

  • Wellness talks and educational sessions on healthy living.
  • Staff wellness days, bringing practitioners to your workplace.
  • Sessions on physical fitness, fatigue reduction and mental resilience.
  • Ongoing awareness activities that keep wellness on the agenda.

4. Review and improve

Gather feedback after each activity and use it to shape what comes next. Wellness programmes work best as an ongoing conversation, not a one-off event.

Olympiads Wellness Clinic works with organisations to explore wellness initiatives suited to their workforce — including staff wellness days with our mobile clinic, physiotherapists, consultants and mental health experts. Request a corporate proposal to start the conversation.
